Re “Recognized by UC at last,” July 17
As a 73-year-old who graduated from UC Berkeley in 1958, I applaud the university and applaud you for the coverage.
I went to school (elementary school, junior high, senior high and Cal) with many Japanese Americans who spent time in the camps.
I am happy for them now, and for the graciousness of the University of California for this award. With all of the troubles in California and the nation, this is indeed heartwarming.
