What’s gay about the Bruno stunt?

Please do not refer to Sacha Baron Cohen’s pathetic and offensive take on gay men as a “flamboyantly gay character” [“Keepin’ It Unreal,” by Scott Collins, June 9]. Instead, please label it what it is: an outrageous assault on gay men everywhere.
I have known many, many flamboyant gay men (and have on occasion been called one), but I have never known anyone who would stage a fall from the sky into an innocent person’s lap and then label it gay behavior. MTV (which has in the past been very supportive of gay people) should be ashamed of its collaboration in this disgusting stunt.
