Sen. Ted Kennedy, a Democratic Party patriarch who is suffering from brain cancer, received a $2-million advance last year for his memoirs.
Hachette Book Group’s Grand Central Publishing division agreed to make the payment against future royalties for the autobiography, the Massachusetts politician reported in his personal financial disclosure form for 2008, released Friday.
Hachette said the book, titled “True Compass,” will be published Oct. 6.
