Tony host: Neil Patrick Harris, best known for his roles in television’s “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and “How I Met Your Mother” but also a veteran of such Broadway shows as “Cabaret,” “Assassins” and “Proof,” will host the Tony Awards on June 7.
Kids show: After its success with “The Penguins of Madagascar,” Nickelodeon is turning to another DreamWorks film for a series, ordering 26 episodes of “Kung Fu Panda.”
Morning news: Nielsen ratings released Thursday marked another milestone for NBC’s “Today” show: the 700th week in a row as television’s most popular morning program.
