Two seasonal Yellowstone National Park workers have been fired after a webcam caught them urinating into Old Faithful.
Park spokesman Al Nash says a 23-year-old man was fined $750 on Tuesday, placed on three years’ unsupervised probation and banned from the park for two years. The second employee’s case is pending.
Authorities were called May 4 after someone watching a webcam trained on the geyser saw people leaving the trail and walking on Old Faithful -- which was not erupting at the time.
