Good college football coaches win lots of football games. Great college football coaches also teach character, class, and don’t allow “‘knucklehead” antics (and costly penalties) for unsportsmanlike play.

Coach Charlie Weis’ only “signature” victory at Notre Dame remains the day he duped the university into putting his signature on a 10-year contract after losing to USC in 2005. Not since Marcia Clark has anyone done such an amazing job of building their career based on one loss.
