Hotels as homes: A photo caption with an article in the May 1 Home section about permanent residences within new hotel complexes implied that the photo of a contemporary dining room was taken inside the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. The dining room actually was a Poliform design inside a model unit of the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences in Los Angeles.
Dubai surveillance: An article in Monday’s Section A about Dubai’s security apparatus said that scholar Syed Ali was with his two children when he was detained by authorities. He has two children now but had only one at the time of the encounter.
Solar power: The Home section’s May 8 Realist Idealist column on recharging electric cars using solar power at home cited a company called 1 Block Off the Grid. The company prefers to go by One Block Off the Grid, or 1BOG.
