Weezer’s this and that
It seems Rivers Cuomo and the rest of Weezer have been feeling nostalgic lately. Earlier this month they released “Death
to False Metal,” a collection of previously unreleased songs (including some from the early days) and reissued “Pinkerton,” their 1996 flop turned fan favorite. This weekend kicks off their Memories tour, on which they’ll play their self-titled debut album in full one night and “Pinkerton” the next.
The band will perform other material following the album sets. Gibson Amphitheatre, 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City. 8:15 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $27.50-$106.25. (818) 622-4440. https://www.livenation.com.
