Las Vegas entertainer Wayne Newton creates new compound

Entertainer Wayne Newton has assembled a 5-acre compound with four homes in Las Vegas for $3.4 million.
The main home is close to 10,000 square feet with a 1,700-square-foot guesthouse, an adjacent home is 3,300 square feet and a home across the street is 2,200 square feet. Renovation work is underway on the main house.
A star architect to celebrities
Two of the four properties were negotiated off-market to give Newton the room he needed for his extended family and animals.
He lived at his nearby Casa de Shenandoah estate for some 45 years. That 40-acre compound had been the subject of a complex legal battle recently decided by a federal bankruptcy judge, the Associated Press reported.
Patricia Spann of Windermere Anthem Hills represented Newton in the purchase.
