The longtime Malibu home of the late Henry Gibson of “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” fame is for sale at $6.9 million.
Recently remodeled, the Cape Cod-inspired house with white trim sits on a private road on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway. Views take in the coastline, the ocean and Santa Catalina Island.
The two-story home has a library, vaulted ceilings, balconies, a fireplace, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 1,805 square feet of light and bright living space. There is also a guesthouse.
The property encompasses three parcels along a sand beach. Steps lead down to the waterfront.
Gibson, who died five years ago at 73, became known as the flower-holding poet laureate of sorts on the satirical comedy show in the late ‘60s. His scores of acting credits include more recent runs on “Boston Legal” (2004-08) and the animated “King of the Hill” (2005-08).
His film work included roles on “Wedding Crashers” (2005), “Magnolia” (1999) and “The Blues Brothers” (1980).
Billy Rose and Santiago Arana of the Agency are the listing agents.
