The Spanish hacienda-style home used for exterior shots in the 2009 movie “It’s Complicated,” starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, has sold in Thousand Oaks for $10.5 million.
The equestrian spread of nearly 57 acres is in the Hidden Valley area and includes a 6,100-square-foot main house, a guesthouse, a swimming pool with a pool house, a six-stall barn, a greenhouse and riding areas. Mature oak trees, boulders and white-fenced corrals dot the land.
The Santa Barbara-inspired house has wood-beam ceilings, interior arches, five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Set back from the street behind fences and lawn, the house has a wide brick veranda along the front.
The mountain-view property, which was listed at $12 million, last sold in 2010 for $10 million.
Jerry Jolton of Coldwell Banker and Nicki LaPorta and Karen Crystal of Ewing & Associates, Sotheby’s International Realty were the listing agents. LaPorta and Crystal also represented the buyer.
