Classic Hollywood: Rod Serling’s sci-fi heavyweight ‘Twilight Zone’ out in new box set
- Share via
After writing such live TV dramas as “Requiem for Heavyweight” and “The Comedian,” Rod Serling created the 1959-64 CBS sci-fi anthology series “The Twilight Zone,” which he also hosted. Serling won Emmys for his writing on the series, which tackled heavy-duty subjects such as prejudice and scapegoating. William Shatner, Robert Redford, Cliff Robertson and Burgess Meredith were among the guest stars. A 41-disc DVD set arriving Nov. 11, “The Twilight Zone: The 5th Dimension Limited Edition Box Set,” features both the classic series and the 1985-89 CBS reboot.
