TV ratings: CBS tops night with ‘Big Brother,’ ‘Big Bang Theory’

CBS’ “Big Bang Theory” and “Big Brother” boosted the network to No. 1 on Thursday, according to Nielsen ratings.
With a rating of 2.1, “Big Brother” won among the key 18-to-49-year-old demographic, averaging about 6 million viewers.
Although “Big Bang Theory” tied for second in the key demo with Univision’s “Lo Que La Vida Me Robó,” the CBS show was most watched overall, with 7.2 million viewers.
Roughly 5.3 million people tuned into CBS. With a rating of 1.4 in the key demo, the network shared the first place slot with Univision among the desired demo.
On NBC, which had a rating of 0.9 in the key demo, “Last Comic Standing” and an encore of “Hollywood Game Night” posted ratings of 1.1 and 1.0, respectively, in the key demo.
The series debut of ABC’s “The Quest” attracted 2.8 million total viewers and a rating of 0.7 in the key demo. The network also aired episodes of “Rookie Blue” and “NY Med.”
