It’s the pop star’s second year as No. 1, and she’s not receiving a title for maintaining her innocence. DoSomething.com’s annual list highlights entertainers who have used their fame for commendable deeds. Swift most recently donated $100,000 to the struggling Nashville Symphony on her birthday. Next mentioned do-gooder is One Direction, followed by Beyonce, the late actor Paul Walker and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. (Facundo Arrizabalaga / EPA)
Universal Studios has decided to include actor Paul Walker in the movie, now set for release on April 10, 2015. Production of the “Fast & Furious” franchise’s latest installation was stalled for weeks after Walker, who played a central character, died in a car crash in late November. He was 40 years old. Posters for Italy’s release of “12 Years a Slave” have relegated the image of actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as protagonist Solomon Northup to a corner in favor of large head shots of white actors Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender. A spokesman from Lionsgate said that the posters “were unauthorized and were not approved by any of the producers or licensors of the film,” and that Summit “is investigating and taking immediate action to ... have those posters currently in the marketplace recalled.” U.S. posters show Ejiofor in mid-run, filling the entirety of the poster space. The “Adore You” video features Miley Cyrus writhing around on a bed clad in familiarly nude undergarments. If we’ve learned anything from the equally racy “Wrecking Ball” music video, “Adore You” is sure to be another social media hit. (“Wrecking Ball” has been seen more than 438 million times on YouTube.) Cyrus has also earned a spot on our carefully curated list of celebrity moments that made us cringe (thank you, twerking) — check out the full list in the link below.
