Matt Lauer wears a short-suit. Savannah Guthrie laughs and laughs.

Matt Lauer looked as if he’d drawn the short straw Friday when he was the one who got stuck in the short-suit for a “Today” fashion segment.

For those who might not be on trend, or a professional basketball player, or Pharrell, that’s a suit where the jacket is still jacket-y but the pants have been replaced with shorts.

Lauer, Willie Geist and Al Roker all found themselves victims of “hot” summer looks during a segment that also featured rolled-up white skinny pants (Geist) and sneakers with a suit (Roker).

Fortunately for Lauer, dude’s got rockin’ quads, which he kindly showed off to Savannah Guthrie as he rolled up one of the hems he’d just complained were way, way shorter than what he’d recently admired on Pharrell at a party in the Hamptons.

Pharrell, it should be noted, did not wear a short-suit when he appeared on “Today” earlier this month.

Lauer, however, did get stuck wearing that hat.
