Pizza Hut is making Doritos-covered stuffed-crust pizza

Taco Bell Doritos Locos Tacos fans may want to brace themselves. Pizza Hut Australia has created a stuffed-crust pizza — covered in Doritos.

The Doritos Crunchy Crust pizza has a mozzarella cheese-stuffed crust layered with nacho cheese Doritos chips and cheddar cheese. And when we say the crust is layered with Doritos, we don’t mean crumbs. There are actual bite-size pieces of chips on every inch of the crust for extra crunch.

“Why Doritos? Well it is a globally loved brand and they have the best corn chips to deliver the ultimate crunch,” Pizza Hut Australia head of marketing and innovation Fatima Syed said in a release. “We know from research how big an impact the crunch sound has on one’s appetite.”

Are you really surprised? The Doritos crust is just the latest in a long list of Pizza Hut’s wacky pizza innovations, including hot dog stuffed crust and cheeseburger crust pizzas.

The Doritos Crunchy Crust pizza is only available in Australia for a limited time. We’ve reached out to Pizza Hut representatives in the States to find out if the company plans to release this crunchy pizza in the U.S. And, of course, you’ll know as soon as we do.
