Zak Murez won the 100 breastroke in 1:05.99 and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay team with 1:39.98 Clark Hartigan, Sean Lawrence and Ryan Guillou, finishing at 1:39.98, for Venice (4-2). Palisades is 5-1.

Girls

Venice 97, Palisades 74
Nicole O’Keeffe won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.77 and the 200 individual medley in 2:18.02 and was on the winning 200 medley relay team with Brittany Marlin-Zechar, Alison Iwamota and Molly Temple, finishing at 2:04.32, as well as the winning 200 freestyle relay with Iwamota, Temple and Christina Sudol, finishing at 1:50.42, for Venice (6-0). Palisades is 5-1.

WEST VALLEY LEAGUE LEAGUE

Boys

Birmingham 154, Granada Hills Kennedy 37
Hector Escamilla won the 100 freestyle (56.86) and the 100 butterfly (1:04.26) and Jake Faber won the 200 IM (2:25.39) and won the 100 breast (1:14.04) for Birmingham (6-0, 5-0) in a West Valley League victory over visiting Granada Hills Kennedy.

Girls

Birmingham 90, Granada Hills Kennedy 85
Ruth Schulman won the breaststroke in 1:23.86 to help Birmingham (5-1, 4-1) outdistance Granada Hill Kennedy down the stretch for a West Valley League victory over visiting Granada Hills Kennedy.

Schulman also had a fourth-place finish in the 200 individual medley race earlier in the meet, which was tied after the seventh of 11 events, the 500 freestyle.

Ruth Solano added victories in the 100 free (1:06.56) and 200 free (2:23.75) for the Patriots, who had just 10 swimmers, including six freshmen.
