Rabbi’s testimony: An article in the Sept. 7 LATExtra section about Rabbi Moshe Zigelman’s refusal to testify against fellow Jews in connection with a federal probe of tax evasion in his Orthodox Jewish sect said that Zigelman’s mother was interred at Auschwitz. She was interned there.
Crossword puzzle: The crossword puzzle in the Sept. 7 Calendar section gave the clue for 32-Down as “2011 Super Bowl champs.” It should have read “2010 Super Bowl champs.”
L.A. fire chief: An article in the Sept. 7 LATExtra section about the appointment of Brian Cummings as chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department identified Pat McOsker as president of United Firefighters of Los Angeles City. McOsker took a leave from that post last month when he became a candidate for City Council.
Glen Campbell: An Aug. 28 Arts & Books section article about singer-guitarist Glen Campbell said the musician’s TV show, “The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour,” ran from 1968 to 1972. It premiered Jan. 29, 1969. He did have a variety show on CBS in summer 1968, but it was called “The Summer Brothers Smothers Show,” a replacement for “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.”
