Hollywood car crashes: From Shia LaBeouf to James Dean
In July 2008, Indiana Jones” and “Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf made headlines, but not for his role in a blockbuster film. According to the Associated Press, LaBeouf got into a car accident on La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. Nobody was seriously injured, but both parties went to the hospital. LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He was not criminally charged in the incident, but his license was suspended for one year. (Wally Skalij / Los Angeles Times)
Yasmine Bleeth: In September 2001, the former “Baywatch” star drove a rented Chrysler into the median of interstate 94 on her way to Detroit Metropolitan airport. The actress, who had recently completed rehab, admitted to being high on coke at the time and drugs were found in her Louis Vuitton purse (including syringes of liquid cocaine). Bleeth told police that the front of the car started to shake, prompting her to let go of the wheel. (Kevork Djansezian / AP)
Jack Nicholson: This ones not a car crash, but an infamous act of road rage.
Believing another driver cut him off on the road, Nicholson stepped out of his car at the intersection of Moorpark Way and Riverside Drive and began to whack the windshield of the perceived offenders car with a golf club while reportedly screaming Johnnys Back! After settling out of court, the actor was still invited to serve as celebrity host of the 23rd Police-Celebrity Golf Tournament. Forgive and forget! (Lawrence K. Ho / Los Angeles Times)
Haley Joel Osment: The 18-year-old ruddy-faced actor was hospitalized in July 2006 after his 1995 Saturn hit a brick pillar at 2:10 a.m. in La Cañada Flintridge. The car flipped over on its roof and came to rest a short distant away. Osment was pretty beat up, with a possible fracture of the scapula, one rib broken and some cuts and abrasions, but doctors assure us he will be OK. What they cannot assure us of is that the young actor wasnt intoxicated at the time. Osment was charged with misdemeanor drunk driving. (Myung J. Chun / Los Angeles Times)

Halle Berry: In February 2000, the actress was involved in a collision in West Hollywood that was serious enough to give her a concussion and a head wound that required 20 stitches. But instead of sticking around to check on the other driver (who suffered a broken wrist), Berry got the hell out of dodge. Whoops! Late-night comedians have been cracking jokes ever since.
