Man stabs five relatives with glass during Christmas Eve gathering, police say

During a family’s Christmas Eve party in Ocean Crest, a man wielding broken bottles and glass stabbed five people before rushing off, authorities say.
San Diego police detectives believe the melee was triggered by a scuffle that broke out between relatives shortly before midnight Sunday. They declined to report the medical status of the injured victims.
On Christmas afternoon, authorities said the suspect is known to the family but declined to identify him or say if he had been apprehended.
