Escondido woman allegedly stabs stepmother to death

An Escondido woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing her stepmother, police said.
Monette Belle, 54, was found inside an apartment in the 700 block of North Grape Street on Wednesday afternoon “covered in blood and not moving,” according to the Escondido Police Department.
Belle had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The woman’s stepdaughter, 35-year-old Asiatae Belle, was arrested in connection with the crime and was booked on murder charges.
