Homicide detectives were investigating the “suspicious” death of a man whose body was found Wednesday inside a Santa Ana apartment.
The unidentified man’s death was being investigated as a homicide based on observations at the scene made by Santa Ana police officers and homicide detectives, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department.
Bertagna would not elaborate on what observations were made but described the death as “suspicious in nature.”
Police received a call around 1:20 a.m. to respond to the 1300 block of North Harbor Boulevard, where the victim, described as a Latino in his 50s, was found dead by his roommates, Bertagna said.
