All lanes reopen on northbound 14 Freeway after wrong-way crash

One lane was opened Monday evening on the northbound 14 Freeway after, officials said, a wrong-way driver caused an accident that injured about a dozen people and caused all northbound lanes to shut.
Traffic was slowly making its way north after the carpool lane was opened around 7 p.m. near the accident scene near Agua Dulce Canyon Road between Castaic and Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol said.
[Updated 7:56 p.m.: All lanes have been reopened, the CHP said.]
Three people were taken to hospitals in critical condition, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
Traffic was backed up for miles after a pickup truck driving south slammed into a car heading north and caused a pileup involving about six vehicles, the CHP said.
At one point, some vehicles were driving off the freeway and onto the embankment to access Soledad Canyon Road, according to reports from CHP units at the scene.
