Santa Ana detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a robber who pulled out a gun, grabbed a cash register drawer and fled from an Auto Zone store.
The man entered the Auto Zone on South Harbor Boulevard on Thursday evening and threatened a clerk with a semiautomatic handgun before making off with the cash drawer, police said.
The suspect sped off in a silver Mitsubishi SUV driven by a male accomplice, heading southbound on Harbor Boulevard, police said.
The suspect is described as being between 28 and 38 and 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.
The man had a black mustache, tattoos on his arms and legs and -- at the time of the robbery -- was wearing a black baseball hat with white logo, sunglasses, a white and brown checked shirt, tan shorts, white sneakers, and he was carrying a small dark blue bag
