A suspect has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault of a UCLA student at an off-campus fraternity party, authorities said.
Nima Bendavood, 21, surrendered to detectives Saturday afternoon at the campus police station, UCLA police said in a statement.
He was booked for sexual assault and is being held at the Los Angeles County Jail on $100,000 bail, police said.
Bendavood is not a UCLA student.
A UCLA student whose age was not disclosed told campus police that she was assaulted by the suspect shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 12 at an off-campus fraternity in the 600 block of Gayley Avenue, police said.
On Thursday, UCLA police distributed photos of the suspect to the media.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the UCLA Police Department Detective Unit at (310) 825-1491.
