Woman killed in hit-and-run incident identified

A woman who died while pushing a shopping cart on a North Hollywood street has been identified, authorities said
Ofelia Salazar, 48, was hit about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday by a white Mercedes-Benz driving north in the 7300 block of Lankershim Boulevard, authorities said.
Salazar died at the scene, and the driver fled.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Valley Traffic Division detectives at (818) 644-8033.
