Coast Liquor closes

Coast Liquor, a convenience store on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, has closed.

The tenant declined to continue the month-to-month lease agreement, according to Chris Dornin, chief executive of the Dornin Investment Group, a real estate investment firm that acquired the property in 2013.

But the store may be reopened sometime next year, Dornin added.

Coast Liquor is part of a broader redevelopment proposal that includes the neighboring Coast Inn, said Dornin, who hopes to have his project heard by the Planning Commission in the next few months.
