The Huntington Beach Police Department and the FBI are continuing an
investigation into a bank robbery that occurred last Friday in Huntington
Beach.
The robbery occurred at 10:40 a.m. Friday at the Washington Mutual
Bank at 7830 Edinger Ave. in Huntington Beach.
A male suspect handed a teller a note indicating he had a weapon and
demanded the teller give him all the money she had, said Huntington Beach
Police Sgt. Janet Perez.
“The teller complied, but no weapon was seen,” Perez said. “The
suspect took an unknown amount of money.”
There were no injuries.
Perez described the suspect as a male, 25 to 30, cleanshaven, 6-feet
tall with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair, possibly a wig.
