Intentional walk attempt turns into walk-off home run

Mississippi third baseman Austin Anderson delivered the decisive blow in an 8-5 victory over Auburn on Friday night when a would-be intentional walk turned into a walk-off home run.
Auburn pitcher Jay Wade had been ordered to issue an intentional walk to Anderson in the 13th inning of a Southeastern Conference game on Friday night at Ole Miss.
As you can see in the video above, the Tigers catcher comes out of his stance and moves toward the opposite batter’s box as Wade delivers the pitch.
Wade’s pitch, which wasn’t delivered with much velocity, heads directly over the plate.
Anderson hit a no-doubt shot over the right-field wall.
The lesson is to make sure you throw the ball outside, well off the plate.
