Baseball: Chatsworth is already flexing its muscles
Chancellors preparing for 2017
2017 can’t come quick enough for Chatsworth’s baseball team. On a beautiful Thursday night at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, the Chancellors showed what all the fuss will be about come spring.
They are loaded with top hitters and lots of pitching depth.
From Cal State Northridge signee Brandon Bohning to All-City catcher Daniel Zakosek, Chatsworth will have one of the best hitting attacks in the City Section.
During a four-run first inning, Bohning had a triple, Zakosek had a double and Alex Milone hit a home run.
Meanwhile, left-hander Thomas Gutierrez, expected to be the No. 3 pitcher, struck out Hunter Greene in the first inning and looked in command.
Veteran Coach Tom Meusborn has the City title favorite. And veteran assistant coach Chuck Hatfield, who’s 94 years old, was on the bench and looking as fit as ever.
