Baseball: Final games this weekend at Stengel Field before demolition

The senior Babe Ruth playoff games this weekend at Stengel Field in Glendale will be the final games before demolition of the stands, backstop and dugouts take place in the fall, Crescenta Valley Coach Phil Torres said Wednesday.
UCLA-bound Brian Gadsby of Crescenta Valley is scheduled to pitch for the San Gabriel Valley all-star team on Saturday in a 7 p.m. game against Long Beach. Also on the team are Glendora standouts Alex Briggs and Justin Cage.
Admission is $5. The best two out of three games series will continue on Sunday at 4 p.m. The winner advances to Modesto to play next Wednesday.
