Boys’ basketball: Alpha League begins with Brentwood-Windward showdown

The Alpha League starts play on Tuesday night with a showdown game between two of the league’s top programs, Brentwood (10-3) and L.A. Windward (10-4), at Brentwood at 7 p.m.
Arizona State-bound Tra Holder of Brentwood will face freshman point guard Jalen Harris of Windward. Brentwood will have to do a good job rebounding against Windward’s physical front line that includes Roy Hemsley and Roman Davis.
The winner figures to battle it out with Sierra Canyon (13-1) for the league title.
