Boys’ basketball: Campbell Hall is 2-0 in the Alpha League

Campbell Hall has picked the right time to get hot. The Vikings (5-6) improved to 2-0 in the Alpha League on Thursday night with a 73-68 victory over Brentwood.
Jordan Cohen scored 27 points, Aaron Holiday 24 and Kahlil Simplis 18 points.
Sierra Canyon is 15-1 overall and 2-0 after a 75-47 win over Viewpoint. Deveral Ramsey had 19 points, Ira Lee 16 and Cody Riley 13. Windward is also 2-0 after a 59-45 win over Paraclete. Jalen Harris had 17 points and Breland Brandt scored 14. Windward’s Mason Shepherd made his season debut after being out with an injury.
In a nonleague game, Birmingham defeated Grant, 86-72. Rubin Morales made seven three-pointers and finished with 23 points. Emery Marquez scored 20 points.
North Hollywood defeated Cleveland, 63-60. Chet Edelman had 23 points and 11 rebounds. Sean Fernandez added 15 points and 12 assists.
