Boys’ basketball: Crespi coach enjoys his weekend watching London Perrantes
- Share via
Encino Crespi Coach Russell White traveled to North Carolina last weekend to watch his former point guard, London Perrantes, help Viriginia win its first two games in the NCAA tournament, and it was an experience he’ll never forget.
“It was surreal,” White said. “It was probably one of the best professional weekends of my life watching him go about his business. It was very fulfilling.”
Perrantes was one of the top guards in the Mission League during his days at Crespi, and his composure under pressure for a freshman keeps coming through.
“He handles it as well as a senior would,” White said. “He looks guys in the eye. They call it Cali swag and Cali cool. He didn’t turn over the ball in two games against guards supposedly more experienced than him.”
