Standout All-Ciy junior guard Donald Gipson of Fairfax had surgery earlier this week for a partial ligament tear in his knee suffered during the state playoffs.
“It went well,” Coach Harvey Kitani said.
Gipson could be sidelined between three and five months but should be back healthy for the 2015-16 season, Kitani said.
He has predicted that Gipson will be the best player in the City Section next season.
