Cross country: Bravo’s Arturo Arevalo leads City Section athletes at prelims

Arturo Arevalo, a senior at Bravo, led all City Section boys in running 15:53.65 at the prelims on Thursday at Pierce College.

Steve Correa of San Pedro ran 15:56.79. Ryan Alexander of Birmingham, one of the favorites for next week’s finals, ran 16:11.30.

In girls, Marissa Williams of Palisades had the fastest time at 17:35.98.
