Alemany began its long march toward preparing for the fall football season with a seven on seven competition on Wednesday night, and the early impression is the Warriors have their quarterback for the next three seasons.
It’s Brevin White, the younger brother of former Hart QB Brady White.
Brady, now enrolled at Arizona State, was in town to watch his brother in action. Brevin was forced to play on the varsity as a freshman late last season because of injuries and gave an early peek of his talent. On Wednesday, he showed off a strong arm, good instincts and lots of charisma.
“He’s way ahead of the game right now,” Alemany Coach Dean Herrington said.
It also helps that Alemany once again will have a talented group of receivers. Marcel Myers, a transfer from Redondo, Jarrin Pierce and sophomore Ado Giammanco all made terrific catches.
Oxnard, Hart and San Fernando were at Alemany, which is hosting weekly competitions on Wednesday nights.
