Football: Daelin Hayes, transfer from Michigan, boosts St. Bonaventure

One of the major question marks for Ventura St. Bonaventure this season was going to be its defense. Who would be a shutdown player for the Serapahs?
Well, first-year Coach Adam Guerra may have solved a big problem with the arrival earlier this month of Daelin Hayes, a 6-fooot-3, 225-pound linebacker-running back from West Bloomington, Mich.
He’s already committed to USC.
“He’s a great athlete,” Guerra said.
He still needs Southern Section clearance, but the Seraphs are hoping he’s available for their season opener against Helix.
