Three of Calabasas’ most high-profiled transfers, Darnay Holmes from Newbury Park, Alec Stevenson from Malibu and Marquel Dismuke from Compton Dominguez, have received clearance from the school and the Southern Section to play in tonight’s season opener against Canyon Country Canyon after verification of a valid change of residence, according to the latest from the Southern Section website.
Five other players in the program have been declared ineligible until Oct. 5 as part of the CIF sitout period.
Calabasas was asked by the Southern Section to conduct a review of half of its 30 transfers that came to the school over the last two years.
