Football: Forfeits are coming fast and furious

Forfeits for ineligible players keep coming fast and furious in Southern Southern football.
Morningside has forfeited its first four games and gone from 6-3 to 2-7. Inglewood has gone from 2-7 to 1-8. Adelanto has gone from 3-6 to 2-7.
Earlier, Lawndale forfeited four games to go from 8-1 to 4-5.
Now comes the big one. Long Beach Poly is facing possibile forfeits for an ineligible player. Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons confirmed on Thursday that Poly officials were scheduled to meet with Commissioner Rob Wigod in a morning meeting to discuss the matter.
