Football: Lots of teams finish 10-0

10-0 used to be a tough accomplishment, but there were lots of teams finishing the regular season perfect on Friday night.
Brian Gadsby had six touchdown passes to help Crescenta Valley (10-0) defeat Arcadia, 61-30.
Griffin Carter ran for 162 yards and four touchdowns to help Pasadena Poly (10-0) defeat Flintridge Prep, 56-14.
Caleb Devine rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns to help Maranatha (10-0) defeat Whittier Christian, 69-34.
Heritage (10-0) defeated Lakeside, 56-7, for a perfect regular season. Ditto for St. Margaret’s (10-0), which defeated Calvary Chapel, 42-0. West Torrance (10-0) got a blocked field goal to defeat Torrrance, 31-29. El Segundo (10-0) rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat Santa Monica, 17-13. Riverside Poly (10-0) defeated Riverside North, 49-17. Lompoc (10-0) defeated Cabrillo, 62-26.
There were losses that prevented 10-0 seasons.
Paraclete handed Sierra Canyon its first defeat, 13-7. Oxnard handed Pacifica its first loss, 41-21. Atasadero inflicted the first defeat on Paso Robles, 28-18.
On Thursday night, St. Francis finished 10-0 after a 46-15 win over Salesian.
