Former Granada Hills Kennedy basketball player Alan Taylor dies

Alan Taylor, a 6-foot-10 former Granada Hills Kennedy and Brigham Young basketball standout from the 1970s, died on April 14 of diabetes, the Deseret News reported. He was 55. A funeral will be held on Saturday in Reno, Nev.
Taylor was the City Section 3A player of the year in 1976. He is survived by five children.
