Girls’ basketball: Chaminade rallies for win over Alemany

West Hills Chaminade keeps playing tough teams in girls’ basketball and finding ways to win.
After pulling out wins over Mater Dei and Sierra Canyon, the Eagles rallied for a 59-58 Mission League win over rival Alemany on Thursday night.
Leaonna Odom scored off a steal from Valerie Higgins to provide the winning points with 15 seconds left.
Odom finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles (15-2, 2-0). Paige Fecske had 16 points and the versatile Higgins added 12 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists, six steals and three blocks.
