L.A. Jordan decides to play eight-man football in 2016

L.A. Jordan was one of several schools last fall that had to suspend its football season because of lack of players from injuries and academic ineligiblity. Now the Bulldogs have decided to drop the 11-man game and switch to eight-man football in 2016.
Gary Parks, who has coached at Blair and Sotomayor, has been named the new head coach.
The school hopes to return to 11-man football in the future but believes playing eight-man football will be the best avenue to get the program back in a positive direction.
City Section Commissioner John Aguirre said Jordan is the first school since the end of the season to switch to eight-man football.
