Santa Margarita is hosting Special Olympics swim meet

On Saturday, Santa Margarita is hosting a swim competition for about 60 athletes with special needs who compete with local swim clubs. It’s called the fifth annual Special Olympics Swim Meet.
More than 70 Santa Margarita swimmers will be helping to put on the event, serve as personal coaches and cheer them on.
“We hope this meet gives these athletes a chance to shine,” Santa Margarita Coach Ron Blanc said.
The event goes from 9 a.m. to noon.
