Track: Austin Tamagno of Brea wins mile at Mt. SAC Relays

Austin Tamagno of Brea Olinda came through with a memorable winning performance on Friday night during the mile run at the Mt. SAC Relays at Cerritos College.
He ran 4:03.21, the fastest mile time ever by an Orange County athlete.
It’s also the second fastest by a California athlete to De La Salle’s Rich Kimball, who ran 4:02.4 in 1974.
Connor Dunne of San Clemente finished second in 4:09.74. Callum Bolger of San Luis Obispo was third in 4:10.16.
Amanda Gehrich of Tesoro finished second in the girls’ mile in 4:48.34. Rylee Bowen of Sonoma Academy won in 4:47.26.
