Track: Former Mater Dei pole vaulter Mike Woepse sets meet record

UCLA pole vault Coach Anthony Curran always had high hopes for Mike Woepse when he recruited him out of Santa Ana Mater Dei, and Woepse came through on Sunday, clearing 18 feet, 5 1/4 inches to set a meet record in the UCLA-USC dual meet won by the Bruins in the men’s competition.
