NFL two-minute drill for Week 2
at Buffalo 38, Oakland 35: Owners Al Davis and Ralph Wilson didn’t attend. Out of respect, CBS in L.A. doesn’t air end of game.
Green Bay 30, at Carolina 23: Cam Newton shows some more of his magic, but, hey, Panthers fans ... he isn’t Harry Potter.
at Detroit 48, Kansas City 3: Lions’ Jason Hanson played in record 297th game with same team. That’s a lot of losing ... up to now.
Cleveland 27, at Indianapolis 19: Second hint Colts might stink minus Peyton Manning. Browns had lost to Bengals at home!
Tampa Bay 24, at Minnesota 20: So much for the importance of a good start. Vikings have blown 10-0 and 17-0 halftime leads.
at New Orleans 30, Chicago 13: Bears were the only NFC team that Saints Coach Sean Payton hadn’t beaten.
at N.Y. Jets 32, Jacksonville 3: So how did Luke McCown (six of 19, 59 yards, four interceptions) force out David Garrard again?
at Pittsburgh 24, Seattle 0: Seahawks did not cross 50 until fourth quarter, never reached red zone and rushed for 31 yards.
at Tennessee 26, Baltimore 13: Ravens intent on grounding Chris Johnson (53 yards). Great job, except for giving up 358 via air.
at Washington 22, Arizona 21: Redskins reminded of the good ol’ days when Cardinals used to blow games in the NFC East.
Dallas 27, at San Francisco 24 (OT): Embarrassed 49ers outgained, 472-206, and also let Tony Romo forge a comeback.
at Denver 24, Cincinnati 22: Tim Tebow contributes, lining up at receiver for one play for the injury-depleted Broncos.
Houston 23, at Miami 13: Dolphins, 1-11 at home since late 2009, are looking forward to three consecutive games on the road.
at New England 35, San Diego 21: For second week in row the Patriots set club record, this time for first downs via pass (23).
at Atlanta 35, Philadelphia 31: The best way to defeat Michael Vick is to knock him out of the game.
