San Diego eliminates San Diego State in UCLA regional

Austin Green’s two-run single was the key hit that kept San Diego alive in the NCAA tournament on Saturday.
The Torreros’ 6-3 victory over San Diego State at Jackie Robinson Stadium advanced them to Sunday’s game, where they will play the winner of Saturday’s evening game between UCLA and Cal Poly.
San Diego State (31-31) was leading, 2-0, when San Diego made the most of two hits in the fifth inning. Green’s single gave the Torreros (33-23) a 3-2 lead. The Aztecs helped out in the inning, with two walks, a hit batter and an error.
Dylan Covey (5-4) went 7 2/3 innings, giving up only four hits, to earn the victory.
