Jakob Silfverberg, Ducks agree to one-year deal

Forward Jakob Silfverberg and the Ducks struck a deal on a one-year contract valued at $850,000 Friday, the team announced.
Financial terms were given by a hockey official not authorized to discuss the subject publicly.
Silfverberg, who’ll turn 24 on Oct. 13, had 10 goals and 13 assists in a career-high 52 NHL games last season after coming to Anaheim along with draft picks from the Ottawa Senators last summer in exchange for forward Bobby Ryan.
The Swede scored four goals in his first 10 games, then won a silver medal with his country at the Winter Olympics.
Silfverberg will again be a free agent following this coming season.
Ducks veterans are expected to report to training camp around Sept. 18.
